What Makes Kentfield Tutoring Unique?
Kentfield Tutoring founder, Sarah Ames, taught all areas of the curriculum during her five years of teaching in the California public schools, and taught fourth grade mathematics at Bacich Elementary School. She is familiar with the format used to present information in the classroom, and has developed techniques that build on what the schools provide students.
Sarah holds a Masters in Education from Mills College, which is renowned for their Laboratory Elementary School, and a B.A. from U.C. Berkeley in International Political Economies. She is also the parent of three students who have attended Bacich Elementary, Kent Middle School, Redwood High School, BYU online and Stanford Online High School.
Kentfield Tutoring is also unique because of our impressive staff who work with Sarah to help every student achieve success. Our low 2:1 or 3:1 ratio of students to tutor allow us to learn about who each of our students are and provide them with individualized instruction. Past tutors have gone on to attend UCLA, UC Berkeley, UC Santa Cruz, UC San Diego, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and Dartmouth. We believe in working as a team to help each of our students grow personally and academically while they work with us.
